Meltdown: Days of Destruction
Days of Destruction tells the story of an asteriod. It could have hit the earth. It could have!!! But it didn’t. It went sailing right by. Unfortunately, it came close enough to push the earth’s orbit DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO THE SUN.
Temperatures soar and mayhem ensues. There are evil scientists with no conscience, looters in capes carrying sticks, and the usual rugged dude who’s been in trouble but really has a heart of gold and will save the day or die trying. Also, super-convenient directions stenciled onto the walls inside sewer tunnels.
Two thumbs up for Casper Van Dien and the fantastical CGI. You will likely find yourself yelling at the characters: “It’s 140 degrees, jackass!! Take off your jacket!!”
